Volvo has released official images of the all-new 2010 S60 mid-range sedan. In March the new S60 will officially make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, but photos show that the S60 is very similar to recent concepts.

Following a common trend in the premium segment, the new Volvo S60 appears to be far more coupe-like than its predecessor. The sleek roofline and broad shoulders give the latest S60 a much sportier look than previous generations.
Although images of the new car have been released, details about what resides under the hood are not yet known. One option according to Shreveport car dealers may be a compact gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging. Ultimately the base engine is designed to maximize fuel efficiency as demanded by customers at New Jersey Used Volvo dealers and the new engine is expected to be a class leader when it comes to miles per gallon. Power is expected to be delivered to the front wheels and the sedan will also feature Volvo’s latest six-speed dual clutch transmission.

Of course the 2010 S60 will deliver the latest and greatest safety technologies. A Volvo XC60 Maine dealer says that among these technologies will be Pedestrian Detection technology that senses pedestrians in front of the car and will automatically apply brakes the S60 if the driver doesn’t stop the vehicle in time.
